Ornamental Red Pineapple

During my trip to the Farmers Market I ran across something that I have wanted for quite some time now. The legendary Mini Red Pineapple. I am having trouble identifying it though. All of the pineapples that I pull up have serrated edges where as this one does not, it has smooth edges. I am uncertain of the age but there is another spike off of the side. If you have any information on identifying this pineapple please let me know!!

Here are some pictures of my very attractive Mini Red Pineapple!! What do you think??

Ananas species all have serrated leaves (as far as I know). It looks like you have a hybrid. Maybe Ananas 'Mongo' or 'Jet Stream'?? It's very nice. It takes me back to my bromeliad days.
