First off I would like to give a big thank you to Rafael from The Orchid Chronicles for identifying this plant for me, thank you very much Rafael. This plant has been in my yard ever since I can remember and I have never seen it bloom. I thought it was very ugly.

As I was backing out of my driveway the other day I noticed a bloom!! Of course I had to pull back in and take a closer look. What a magnificent flower it has!! And to think I was very close to removing the whole thing a few weeks ago. You see, sometimes procrastination is a good thing! I had no idea it would be so beautiful!!

Here are a few pictures of my Crinum ( Crinum powellii ). Thanks again Rafael!! Enjoy!!!

Oh, you are so fortunate! Crinum lilies! The icing on your cake of tropicals. I will enjoy seeing your lush paradise grow and grow.

Crinums in April? Even I'm jealous and I'm not that far north of you. Mine probably have another month to go. (I got a ton of crinum bulbs last year and had no idea what they were. I almost threw them out but my husband made me plant them. I'm glad I did!)

Beautiful crinum but it's not Powellii. Perhaps it's someone selection as it is a hybrid.
