As I was watering the yard this morning I looked up at my 30 foot tall Southern Magnolia ( Magnolia grandiflora ) and noticed a few beautiful white blooms!! They are absolutely beautiful, and the fragrant smell is wonderful!!

The Southern Magnolia can reach soaring heights of over 40 feet tall!!! That is a big tree!! As with almost all plants and tree's there are dangerous parts, the seeds and leaves are poisonous if ingested. Care should be taken when handling the Southern Magnolia as it may irritate your skin.

Here are a few pictures of my stunning Southern Magnolia ( Magnolia grandiflora ).

Nice Magnolia...I just put some northern Magnolia photos on my blog today! Here in MN, the Magnolia is deciduous, and the flowers come out before the leaves.

Beautiful Magnolia. One of our neighbours has a M. grandiflora, but it's not in flower yet. It makes a change from the M. x soulangeanas and M. stellatas.
