I figured since I am going to be talking a lot about the Historic Downtown Fort Pierce Farmer's Market, I should explain it to you. First off you can click here to view their own website.
Every Saturday in our beautiful Historic Downtown Fort Pierce, Fl. there is a Farmers Market held by the water. This is the 10th year running!! The market is open from 8-12 every Saturday of the year ( rain or shine ).
When you attend the Farmer's Market you can expect to eat delicious breakfasts from local vendors while sitting on the sea wall over looking the water! You can expect to find great deals on Palm tree's, Orchids, fruits and vegetables, Organics, pond accessories and plants, live music, face painting for the kids!! I can go on and on but the fact is, The Farmers Market is where it is at on Saturday mornings. Every Saturday I see the Farmers Market growing so who knows, this could be huge one day!! Well, next time I go I will take some pictures to show you. There are a few pictures on their website, just click here to see them. I hope to see you there next Saturday!!!!

This week was a good week at the Farmers Market. I woke up extra early to make it to the Farmers Market before all the good stuff was gone. I made out with some great additions to my jungle!!
One of the trees that I picked up is the Jerusalem Thorn ( Parkinsonia aculeata ). The Jerusalem Thorn is the thorn that was made into a crown and placed on Jesus head when he was on the cross. I figured it would be a good tree to have.
The Jerusalem Thorn can be found anywhere from 8 feet up to 30 feet tall. The Jerusalem Thorn enjoys being out in the full sun and is very drought tolerant. Although it is a dangerous tree due to all of the thorns on it, it is a beautiful tree with bright yellow flowers. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!!!
