I planted my Williams Hybrid Banana Tree April 21, 2008 at the height of about 2 feet tall. If you want to read all posts on this Banana Tree CLICK HERE.  Now only a year and a half later I have my first Bananas forming. This is my first out of all my Banana Trees to start producing Bananas.  I am finally starting to see the benefits of all my hard work.   I have two sets of pictures to share with you today.  The first set is from September 3, 2009 and the second set is from September 7, 2009.

These first two pictures were taken 9-3-2009.  The first show of life.

My first toad!!

The following three pictures were taken 9-7-2009.  After only 4 days that toad turned into a rack of Bananas.

I hope you enjoyed this post. See you again next time!!

Finally we are getting some rain around here!! It rained yesterday too. We need this rain alot here due to all of the fires we have throughout the state. Now the Everglades are on fire. It is getting out of hand and the rain should be a huge help to all of the dedicated Fire Fighters that are out there risking it all to stop these horrendous fires. I sure hope it continues to rain for a few more days. They can use all the help they can get!! Besides, we need a good soaking here, the ground is very dry and we have water restrictions so needless to say the grass isn't much to look at these days.

I was so excited to have another day of rain that I ran outside during a break in the rain and snapped a few shots for you to enjoy!! The last two pictures are of my Williams Hybrid Banana leaf and my Variegated Pink Lemon Tree bud!! Here they are, Have a Great Day!!

The delicious Williams Hybrid Banana!! That is one of the banana tree's that I scored this weekend at the Heathcote Botanical sale that was held this weekend at the Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce, Fl.

As I was searching all of the many great vendors at the Heathcote Botanical sale I wandered into the banana guy. I love banana's very much and have wanted different species for a long time but didn't want to go out and just buy some. So I waited until Heathcote held there sale and I got exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay!

The banana guy had the banana tree's marked at $15.00. I don't think this is a bad price at all, but he only charged me $10.00 when I went to pay! Score!! Now that is a fantastic price, especially since there was a sucker sprouting up next to it!! I had to buy two more banana tree's from him. I bought my mom an Ice Cream Banana, and I bought myself a Gold Finger Banana. I already have an Ice Cream Banana that's why I did not get one of those for myself.

Here are pictures of my new William's Hybrid Banana Tree.
