It is time for an update on my Christmas Palm Tree Sprouts. Click here to read my first post on my Christmas Palm Tree sprouts.

I sprouted 10 Veithchia merriillii seeds on Feb. 5 2008 and 3 more followed a few days later for a total of 13. These were the first seeds I have ever sprouted!! They are doing great!! They look very healthy! I have them place in an area that receives about 20% sun and is bright shade the rest of the time.

Here are some pictures of my very fist sprouts at 3 months old!! Enjoy!!

New Sprouts!!

In the jiffy container I have 10 Veitchia Merrillii ( Christmas Palm Tree ). These are the first palm tree seeds that I have ever sprouted. I have many more germinating so let the fun begin. I also threw in a picture of a tangerine tree I have also sprouted. The tangerine is 2 weeks old and doing very good. I also threw in a picture of how nice the day was today.

These are my first two Christmas Palm Trees (Veitchia Merrillii). I have planted them about 2 months ago in Nov. 2007. What attracts me to these palms are the beautiful colors of the seeds at Christmas time. The seeds go from a super green to a very bright red which is where it receives it's name from because it looks decorated with Christmas lights.
