I updated my Flamethrower Palm Tree ' Watermelon Form ' ( Chambeyronia macrocarpa ) back in August when a new shoot was coming out. To read all posts on this Palm Tree please CLICK HERE. Well that new shoot has now opened and is a sight to see. It is my first Flame Shoot. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!!

These pictures were taken 9-9-2009. This one is of the entire Palm Tree.

This picture is the beautiful new shoot with all of it's fiery glory.

Such an amazing Palm Tree. This is why it is known as a Flamethrower Palm Tree. When the shoot opens completely it will turn green.

Overhead view.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did. See you again next time!!

That was a little bit of a let down. I was hoping for a picture of you with a flamethrower torching a palm tree.
I did something like this when I was much younger but it was a ligher and a palm tree. In 20 seconds it was a pillar of fire.

It wasn't a big tree but it was big enough that I shouldn't have done it.
