New Voodoo Lily's

I finally get to post on my new Voodoo Lily's (Amorphophallus rivieri ). I have had them now for about 2 weeks. They are doing very well in the pot. I have not noticed any stress from the move at all. There are 7 Voodoo Lily's in this pot. I have them in the shade and water them on a daily basis. Here are some pictures of my new Voodoo Lily's. If you want to see pictures of my other Voodoo Lily's then click here.

I really like the camouflage color on the trunk.

The trunk is surprisingly soft and rubbery feeling.

I hope you enjoyed your stay. Please join us again soon!

Those are really cool lilies! Too bad I live in the Midwest, we can't grow any of these cool, exotic plants. We are attempting to keep a Yucca tree at our apartment. It does fine during the summer when we can keep it outside on our porch, but over the winter it starts to look horrible. I just don't understand either, we have Southern facing windows, we keep it in a warm room, the only thing I can figure is that it has something to do with hours of sunlight per day, that I have no control over.

Voodoo Lily...is that the same as Devil's Tongue? From what I undestand, a mild insecticide can be made from Devil's Tongue..don't know how, though.
Do you think these would be able to live in a container permantely? I'd like to try to grow it but we have frost so I'd have to keep it inside in the winter
